The Expert

Julie M. Estis, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Julie Estis is Director of the TeamUSA Quality Enhancement Plan—a campus-wide initiative focused on using Team-Based Learning (TBL) at the University of South Alabama to improve student learning, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration.

 

Appointed to the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology faculty in 2004, she brings valuable expertise as a teacher, researcher, and faculty leader. 

 

As a Team-Based Learning Collaborative Certified Trainer-Consultant, she is an experienced TBL facilitator, faculty mentor, trainer, course developer, and program consultant.

 

Her work extends beyond South Alabama as she provides TBL training and consulting in the US and abroad. As the elected Health Sciences Member-at-Large of the Steering Committee, she is actively involved in the Team-Based Learning Collaborative international organization.
